New Addition to the Site.

Well… some of you tech savvy-er people who visit my site… know about RSS feeds.  Now I automagically have an RSS feed to my blog, but it onlly counts the posts I make.

So … as a new addition, to perhaps make me do more with my site.. I’ve created a linkspew rss feed that contains interesting links that I’ve come across.

If you don’t know what rss is, I’ll try also to post them in html form, but I’ll offer support to anyone who wants me to set it up for them.  Its pretty nifty actually.

Police Meter-maid Interceptors

Posted on June 28th, 2006 in Geeky Stuff by geek

You walk down the street, and you see the meter maid driving down the street with their little tiny single person vehicles, with those two huge raygun looking things on top of the car, and chalking tires as they go.

You ever wonder what those things were? The big ray gun things looking downward at the road, pointed at a 45 degree angle downward?

Kate’s take on the Vacation

Posted on June 22nd, 2006 in Life by Keby

Woohoo Reno! It was such a blast! Drove out early Sunday, checked in, relaxed for a bit, then headed out to find some food. Got to eat the best sushi of my life at Kokopelli’s in Circus Circus. Fabulous rolls! Can’t wait to go back. Getting hungry just thinking about it.

Overall, did lots of gambling, not quite so much drinking, ate good food, enjoyed the hotel and its spa (with a view of the sunset over the mountains). We both made some bucks on slots, which I think we both gave back eventually. I hit a royal flush (but on penny poker). Tim won me lots of cute stuffies, which I all named after him, so now I have Mr Timothy J Wong BA (each word is a different stuffie).
Tim was wonderful. Thank you for treating me to such a fabulous vacation. I can’t wait to save up enough money so I can take you back and treat you this time. So sad to be back at work and job hunting again, but I’m hoping for another trip soon.

Vacation

To celebrate Kate’s grad, I took her down to Reno for two nights.  We drove down Sunday morning and came back Tuesday morning.

To summarize the trip,

Me= -200 in gambling, happy girlfriend
Kate= +1 dollar, 3 stuffies, a class of 2000 graduation figurine, and lots of memories.

Woohoo! Congrats! Fresh meat for the workplace!

First things first, CONGRATULATIONS KATE FOR FINISHING YOUR DEGREE!

Kate graduated last Saturday. I’m hoping to get some pictures up of her walking up and shaking hands with people and all that, in her cute gown and all… but I haven’t gotten a chance to sit down and crop down pics yet.

Her parents came down to see her commencement, along with her sister. Unfortuantely, I didn’t get a chance to sit with them: I was an idiot and got stuck behind nth Million people trying to find parking for the commencement. Fortunately, I did a chance to grab a bite to eat with them before I had to hightail it back to work. Yep. I had to work on Saturday. 4 Hours of doing absolutely nothing. Woot.

Lunch was nice, but fraught with concern. Kate’s sister is in med school way back in the East side, and she flew out to see the commencement. I remember seeing her back when me and Kate started going out… she was skinny then, but now she’s beyond skinny. Like too skinny to be skinny skinny.
