Random thought of the day

While I was trolling the forums, I found the following text:

And for the question about 18stam vs shield spike…do you really think we need more aggro abilities with a spike? We need stam dammit.

I shall now call it Stammit.

OP: STAMMIT UP A NOTCH. - Drabnaught

Just thought it was wildly hilarious. But I’m a bit tipsy. Had a drink or two on an empty stomach. Bad form geek… bad form….

But seriously… this thing is the most snakey snake oil I’ve ever seen

A quote from the webpage

* Better road holding and, consequently, reduced tyre wear (at least 50% less). More details here
* Perfectly balanced braking and, consequently, shorter braking distance, better control in emergency and reduced brake pad wear (around 60%). More details here
* Elimination of useless overpressure in the engine cylinder giving both quieter running and increased engine life. More details here
* More complete burning giving greater power for less fuel and much cleaner exhaust emissions - government tests often show less than half the permitted levels. More details here
* Reduced fuel consumption: Your engine will require less fuel for the same performance. If, however, you have electronic fuel injection, it may not be possible to reprogramme this. More details here
* The elimination of electro smog within the vehicle will not only make driving a much pleasanter and safer experience because the information which you receive from the road and other vehicles around you will be much clearer, your in car stereo will also sound much better. More details here

Only in Japan, Pink Seal shaped taser

Posted on May 17th, 2007 in Geeky Stuff by geek

Too bad it only gives weak shocks… but I can totally see the kawai girl getting accosted by muggers, only to reach to her cellphone strap pink seal and shock the bejeebus out of the evil mugger, causing him to rocket into the sky with the yellow jaggy lines and the burnt ashy look to it.

Someone needs to give whatever marketing department thought of this a medal

This is probably one of the most awesome trailers I’ve ever seen for a game ever. Totally makes me want to buy this game.

BTW: There is a high res version of this trailer at gametrailers, but only the standard def one is embeddable.

Helps that I already loved Team Fortress back in the day, but still…

“Some people think they can outsmart me… maybe… maybe… But I have yet to have one who can outsmart bullet.” Awesome.

Sorry for the lapse in postage

Posted on May 17th, 2007 in Geeky Stuff by geek

This time, the lapse isn’t my fault… well.. it kind of is.  Got sick on Tuesday night, it was kind of bizaare actually.  Felt great all day, and then at 9 o clock, I started getting chills and the shakes.  Was so bad that I had to call a cooworker to send in an email to work for me to request coverage the next day.

Then, halfway though Wed, I started to feel better, and come Thursday, I woke up with a headache reminiscent of a hangover, cept I didn’t get the good part of the hangover which is the alcohol the night before.

The only thing that is worrisome is that my throat is still a bit sore… and phelmy.  I fear strep again… I don’t want to relive strep.  Though I never did get that steak I promised myself after the strep was over…

Anyway, that’s the cause for the lack of postage; that and the lack of interesting stuff on the net.
